[00:08.56]A mulberry leaf touched with the genius of man becomes silk.
[00:13.06]A field of clay touched with the genius of man becomes a castle.
[00:17.98]A Cyprus tree touched with the genius of man becomes a shrine.
[00:22.91]A cut of sheep’s hair touched with the genius of man 
[00:27.28]becomes raiment for a king.
[00:29.23]If it is possible for leaves and clay and wood and hair 
[00:33.95]to have their value multiplied a hundred, 
[00:36.68]yea a thousandfold by man, 
[00:39.62]cannot I do the same with the clay which bears my name?
[00:43.47]Today I will multiply my value a hundredfold.
[00:47.84]I am liken to a grain of wheat 
[00:49.90]which faces one of three futures. 
[00:52.21]The wheat can be placed in a sack 
[00:55.15]and dumped in a stall until it is fed to swine. 
[00:58.56]Or it can be ground to flour and made into bread. 
[01:02.49]Or it can be placed in the earth and allowed to grow 
[01:06.75]until its golden head divides 
[01:09.29]and produces a thousand grains from the one.
[01:11.79]I am liken to a grain of wheat with one difference. 
[01:15.49]The wheat cannot choose whether it be fed to swine, 
[01:19.34]ground for bread, or planted to multiply. 
[01:22.50]I have a choice and I will not let my life be fed to swine 
[01:27.31]nor will I let it be ground under the rocks of failure 
[01:31.24]and despair to be broken open and devoured by the will of others.
[01:36.06]Today I will multiply my value a hundredfold.
[01:40.35]To grow and multiply it is necessary to plant the wheat grain 
[01:44.94]in the darkness of the earth and my failures, 
[01:47.88]my despairs, my ignorance, 
[01:50.07]and my inabilities are the darkness 
[01:52.58]in which I have been planted in order to ripen. 
[01:55.98]Now, like the wheat grain which will sprout and blossom 
[02:00.25]only if it is nurtured with rain and sun and warm winds, 
[02:04.84]I too must nurture my body and mind to fulfill my dreams. 
[02:10.08]But to grow to full stature the wheat 
[02:14.13]must wait on the whims of nature. 
[02:15.34]I need not wait for I have the power to choose my own destiny.
[02:20.15]Today I will multiply my value a hundredfold.
[02:23.98]And how will I accomplish this? 
[02:25.95]First I will set goals for the day, 
[02:28.56]the week, the month, the year, and my life. 
[02:32.17]Just as the rain must fall before the wheat 
[02:35.68]will crack its shell and sprout, 
[02:38.95]so must I have objectives before my life will crystallize. 
[02:42.33]In setting my goals I will consider my best performance of the past 
[02:46.95]and multiply it a hundredfold. 
[02:49.45]This will be the standard by which I will live in the future. 
[02:53.38]Never will I be of concern that my goals are too high 
[02:58.20]for is it not better to aim my spear at the moon 
[03:01.53]and strike only an eagle 
[03:04.20]than to arm my spear at the eagle and strike only a rock?
