A record number of men reported being sexually harassed in the workplace last year, according to the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
Newly released data from the EEOC showed that 15.4 percent of the 12,025 charges of sexual harassment in fiscal year 2006 were filed by men, as opposed to 11.6 percent a decade earlier.
注意啦,根据“韦氏字典”,“sexual harassment”指的是“uninvited and unwelcome verbal or physical conduct directed at a person because of his or her sex”(对男性或女性实施不受欢迎的性行为,包括身体接触或言语挑逗)。
There have been some cases of sexual harassment against women in this office.(这个办公室里曾发生过女性遭遇性骚扰的案例。)
