日前，国家公务员局下发三个试行规定，将工作表现和业绩列为公务员考核标准。根据规定，连续两年年度考核被评为“不称职”的公务员将被辞退，“公务员队伍将建退出机制”的说法终于首次落到了“纸面上”。

China's state bureau of civil servants on Tuesday, stipulated that civil servants, who were evaluated as "incompetent" for two consecutive years in the annual assessment, would be dismissed.

中国国家公务员局于本周二做出规定，连续两年年度考核为“不称职”等级的公务员将被辞退。

在上面的报道中，annual assessment就是我们工作中常遇到的“年度考核”。在这个短语里annual做形容词，表示“一年一度的”，例如公司每年都会出一份annual report（年度报告），里面会标明annual accounting（年度决算）。
