rush off 匆匆离开，赶紧去

Before some of you rush off on holiday, I do have one rather important announcement.

在某些同事赶着去度假之前，我有个非常重要的消息要宣布。

Notes: rush off表示“冲出”，急于做某事。另有短语“rush off sb’s feet”表示“忙得不可开交”。例：

She got up late this morning. Now she has to rush off and catch the train.

她早上起迟了，现在不得不匆匆忙忙地去赶火车。

Tomorrow we’ll have a big show. I am rushed off my feet in the office today.

明天有个大秀，我今天在办公室忙得不可开交。
