It is quite common among our generationto hold a party to celebrate our birthday in the restaurant.However, should we advocate that students invite our classmates andfriends to celebrate our birthday in the restaurant? There are two kinds of opinionsconcerning this question.

在我们这一代人当中，在饭店举行派对庆祝生日是非常普遍的。然而，我们是否应该提倡学生邀请同学、朋友在饭店庆祝生日呢？对于这个问题，这里有两种观点。

For one thing, some people who are in favor of it considerthat holding a birthday party in the restaurant provides a chance to communicatewith each other, which is good for strengthening and closing the relationshipbetween classmates and friends.Theyalso point out that students can establish the friendships in the party. In addition,students can get some relaxation after study.

一方面，支持这种做法的人认为在饭店举行生日派对为学生、朋友之间相互交流提供了机会，这有利于加强、拉近彼此之间的关系。他们也指出学生可以在派对中建立友谊。此外，学生在学习之余还能得到一些放松。

However, for another, others entertain anegative opinion towards it. They figure out that holding birthday party willincrease the expenditure of our family and make family’s burden of economyheavier. Besides, holding birthday party in the restaurant is prone to lead tothe bad habit of trying to keep up with Joneses, which is not good for ourgrowth.

然而，另一方面，有些人对此怀有相反的观点。他们指出举行生日派对会增加家庭的支出，加重家庭的经济负担。另外，在饭店举行生日派对易于导致互相攀比的坏习惯，不利于我们的成长。

Taking above into consideration, I aminclined to agree with the latter. I do not advocate that our studentscelebrate birthday with friends in the restaurant. As for me, staying with ourparents on our birthday is more meaningful.

经过对以上观点的考虑，我倾向于同意后一种观点。我不提倡学生和朋友们在饭店庆祝生日。对我而言，在生日那天，和父母在一起更有意义。
