Hillary Clinton has claimed she's not letting the demands of global diplomacy stop her from planning daughter Chelsea's wedding.

But even the world's most powerful mother-of-the-bride needs a little help from technology to do so.

A Polish TV interviewer asked how she manages juggling being both the U.S. Secretary of State and the mother of the bride.
Mrs Clinton agreed that both are 'serious, important and stressful'.

'Luckily we have e-mail now,' she explained.

'I can communicate and people can send me pictures of flower arrangements or other kinds of decisions,' she told the Polish current affairs program Tomasz Lis Live.

'It's a very happy time for my family. ... It truly is the most important thing in my life right now,' Mrs Clinton said about her daughter's upcoming wedding.

Miss Clinton is to to get married on a sprawling estate once owned by an infamous tycoon who divorced his wife for a younger woman.

The union of Miss Clinton, 30, and investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, 31, will take place at the former estate of millionaire businessman John Jacob Astor IV in Rhinebeck, upstate New York.

Astor scandalised society in 1890 when he ditched his wife of 20 years for a girl of 18 who was just one year older than his own son.

He also invented the bicycle brake and was the richest person to die when the Titanic went down.

The Clinton wedding will include a star-studded guest-list with rumours President Obama may make a last-minute appearance.

Sources have said there is no decision as yet and security arrangements are being put in place in case he comes.

But one sour note is the scandal-plagued Al Gore, former vice president to Bill Clinton, will not be attending.

Amid a slew of new accusations that Gore sexually assaulted a masseuse, and his impending divorce from wife Tipper, a spokeswoman said that neither will be turning up.

The wedding will take place on July 31 in front of an intimate party of just 400 guests.

It is thought the bride will be wearing an Oscar de la Renta or Vera Wang dress.

In advance of the big day, Chelsea has told her father to lose more than a stone so that he 'looks good'.

Speaking at a summit in Washington Bill Clinton recently said: 'She told me the other day, she said, 'Dad the only thing you gotta do is walk me down the aisle and you need to look good.'
