A senior official in Hebei province who is leading economic coordination of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region denied a rumor on Wednesday that Baoding is the first choice to be the deputy political center after Beijing.

针对周三有传言称保定将作为首都政治副中心首选一事，河北省主管京津冀地区经济协调发展的官员对此予以否认。

北京是中国的政治中心（political center），文化中心（cultural center），以及国际交往中心（international exchange center），周三突然有报道提出保定选为政治副中心（deputy political center）一说引发不少议论，同时导致河北板8支股票当日涨停（hit limit up）。

目前国家和相关省市已经启动京津冀协同发展（coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei）战略研究，与过去首都经济圈（capital economic circle）以首都为中心的研究不同，京津冀协同发展研究以北京、天津为双中心。
