现在许多人都会用blingbling一词来形容闪闪发光的物品，起初英大以为这是造出来的一个词，没想到它的起源还有点历史。

其实与其说它是单词，不如说是俚语更为恰当，blingbling来源于上个世纪hip-hop艺人创作的一首歌曲。

它最早用在Dana Dane的歌曲Nightmares，用来指叮铃叮铃作响的音效，这种音效常出现在动画片中，指金币、首饰、宝石成堆的闪耀和吸引人的感觉。
