Three new world records in the women's 58kg weightlifting was a gift to the host Doha, said an official in Chinese sports delegation in Doha on Sunday.

"Breaking world record was within our plan. There was no new world record since the Asiad opened before Chen broke the world records. It is a gift to the host city Doha and whole Asia," said Ma Wenguang, president of the Chinese Weightlifting Association.
