Shandong hammers Dong Tam; Shenhua loses
Han Peng scored twice as China Super League champion Shandong Luneng hammered Vietnamese side Dong Tam Long An 4-0 in Jinan, Shandong, to move five points clear at the top of Group G of the AFC Champions League on Wednesday.
Han gave the home side the lead three minutes before the break and extended the advantage with his second of the game early in the second half.
Wang Yongpo and Li Jinyu also found the net against the hapless Vietnamese side, which was reduced to 10 men in the closing minutes when skipper Phan Van-giau was sent off following a reckless challenge on Cui Peng.
